First we start with some awesome funk and soul drummers who were raised on the hits of the 1970’s. Next we put together a wild collection of vintage drum kits that deliver that raw, funk tone that is so characteristic of the genre. Finally, we spend days, weeks and months recording all of this inspirational funk gold and then hunker down for a marathon mixing and editing session.
The result is ‘Old Skool Funk’ . 145 retro styled funky drum loops offering you the ultimate beats, breaks and fills to add 100% pure funk to your tracks.
We used vintage tube microphones, tube compressors and lo-fi production techniques. Add to that the pristine performances from some of the most talented funk drummers that Great Britain has to offer, and you wont be disappointed with this sample pack.
We used two different live rooms during the sessions to give these loops a mixture of ambient and dry room sounds. Tempos range from 80 bpm to 120 bpm.
